To attend
the Southwestern Illinois Police Academy, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be
hired as a full-time employee of an Illinois Police agency.
If you have not been hired as a full-time employee of an
Illinois Police agency, please see the Intern information.
- Please
call the Academy office at (618) 222-5396 and make a reservation
for the next academy session.
- Accurately complete a Southwestern Illinois
Police Academy Application.

This application must be returned to the Academy no later than
2 weeks prior to the POWER Test.
- Successfully complete the P.O.W.E.R. Test on site.
