The Southwestern Illinois College Police Academy is fortunate to
have a pool of local law enforcement professionals to draw on
for instructional staff. Our staff has spent a significant
amount of time formulating
lesson
plans and instructional delivery in a variety of mediums to
ensure that each recruit is able to acquire and retain the
knowledge necessary to perform the basic skills of a police
officer in this state. The instructors are fully aware that each
recruit is a unique individual with different needs and are
prepared to accommodate them accordingly. This institution will
build a foundation of knowledge within each recruit, which
should be supplemented in a timely fashion with ongoing training
and education by their sponsoring agency.
